hello, I'm Ruth
A Professional Home Organiser based in Ascot, Berkshire. After having my children, I found that clutter in my house made me feel majorly overwhelmed! When my house is in order everything feels easier.
Knowing how much decluttering has saved my sanity, I started Happy Home Ascot to help people feel happier and more relaxed in their homes. I honestly believe that living without clutter is life-changing.
I live with my husband Dave, our children Aoife & Joe, a mollycoddled chihuahua called Pablo, and our cats Monty & Willow who destroy our house but complete our home.
I can quickly transform any space, with systems which make it easy to tidy and maintain - leaving you more time for what matters. I understand why and how clutter builds up, and know exactly how to solve it!
I've always wanted a varied job, where I can make a positive difference, meet a range of people and laugh every single day. Meeting my lovely clients and working in their homes is an absolute privilege which never feels like work to me.
"Organisation to me isn't about having a perfect house - but a home which is easy to tidy & relaxing to live in!"

Organising Essentials

So lovely for putting clothes, linen or towels in. You could also use to store seasonal items away at the top of your wardrobe. Or for children's toys - the options are endless

IKEA Skubb boxes are amazing for dividing clothes into categories in drawers... or anywhere!

Flocked slimline hangers create a really streamlined look in your wardrobe. They also create so much more space around your clothes so you can see what you have!

How does your decluttering service work?I’ve worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life — and one thing I’ve learned is that clutter can build up in any home, no matter the size. As a professional home organiser, I take a calm, intuitive approach to every session, working closely with you to reduce clutter at a pace that feels right for you. My decluttering services are supportive, relaxed and fun! I believe in making the process feel less overwhelming by working methodically and side-by-side with you. This is a real “in it together” approach, where I guide you gently (never pushy or bossy!) and help you make confident decisions about what stays and what goes. Together, we’ll reset your space, remove what no longer serves you, and create a home that feels lighter, calmer and easier to live in. Unwanted items can be donated or recycled, helping others while reclaiming valuable space in your home. Whether you’re tackling one room or the whole house, I’ll bring positive energy, practical solutions, and support, with plenty of laughs along the way.

What are the benefits of hiring a professional home organizer?Every person, and every home, is unique, and so is your perception of clutter. For some, visible mess like cluttered surfaces can trigger stress. For others, it’s the hidden chaos behind cupboard doors that weighs on their mind. Whatever your situation, decluttering can feel overwhelming, emotional, and even insurmountable if it’s built up over many years, or you’re coping with loss or health challenges. The truth is, it’s often easier to hold onto things than to decide where they belong, whether that’s in your home or out of it. That’s how clutter builds up so quickly and why many people struggle to keep on top of it. That’s where working with a professional home organiser makes all the difference. My decluttering services take away the stress, decision fatigue, and emotional drain that often come with tackling clutter alone. With laser focus and a calm, methodical approach, I help you create an organised home that feels tailored to you, not just tidy, but truly functional and easy to maintain. We’ll work together to reduce clutter, set up practical systems, and make real progress, quickly, thoroughly, and with plenty of support and encouragement. Most clients find the process surprisingly fun and cathartic!

How much does a professional home organiser cost? After your initial consultation, I’ll provide a tailored estimate for how long your decluttering project is likely to take. Many of my clients want to declutter and organise their entire home, so I typically break the work down by area, starting with the space that’s causing the most stress or disruption in daily life. As a general guide, I usually complete one room per day, with a daily rate of £350. This allows us to work thoroughly while creating a real, lasting transformation in your space. Hiring a professional organiser is a very personal decision — you’ll be spending time together, making decisions, and trusting someone to help you reset your home. That’s why I always recommend starting with just one area. It gives you a chance to see how I work and whether I’m the right fit for you before committing to lots of dates! My goal is always to make you feel supported, totally comfortable, and in control, while helping you create a lighter, more organised home that is lovely to live in.
